Flexible partial denture concepts for selected removable cases.

Flexible partial dentures are commonly discussed where a patient and clinician prefer an esthetic, metal-free-looking removable option with tooth- or tissue-coloured clasp extensions. The flexible base changes how the prosthesis inserts, engages undercuts and responds under function.
This is not a universal substitute for a rigid cast-metal partial. Repairability, reline options, long-span support, material hygiene and the clinical condition of remaining teeth should all be reviewed before choosing a flexible design. Available resin systems and permitted applications vary by partner.
Specify the missing teeth, clasp zones, undercuts, material preference, planned extension and whether future additions or relines may be needed.
